Ensuring academic success for at-risk children!
The Academic Enrichment Program (AEP) is an afterschool program designed for children in kindergarten through 5th grade. The goal of AEP is to provide education, support, Bible study, prayer, high expectations, and supervised recreation to help these children realize their full potential. All children participate in the “Homework Session” to receive assistance completing school assignments.
Hours of Operation
The program operates during the school year, Monday through Friday, from 3:00 p.m. - 6:00 p.m. We follow the HISD calendar and will provide care on early dismissal days. Our closings (holidays, in-service days, and weather emergencies) also correspond with HISD.
The Nehemiah bus picks up children at MacGregor Elementary School and Poe Elementary School Elementary after school and transports them to the Center.

Kiwanis Foundation AEP Summer Program
The 2018 Kiwanis Foundation of Houston Summer Program begins June 4 - June 29, 2018. This program is for kindergarten through fifth grade students only. This program is an exciting whirlwind of activity in which the children attend professional theater performances, visit local museums, take swimming and water safety lessons, play team sports and so much more.
