About UsThe Nehemiah Center is a Christian-based organization that offers academic, emotional, cultural, social and spiritual enrichment to the children and families in the MacGregor Elementary School area just outside Houston's Third Ward.

Neighbors helping neighbors create a safe haven in which children are motivated, inspired and equipped to realize their God-given potential.
Organization Profile:
The Nehemiah Center opened with 22 children in January 1996 and now serves over 130 children daily. We are a non-profit 501 (c)(3) organization, and your contribution is tax deductible to the extent allowed by law. Corporate gift matching is welcomed.
