Family Services
The Center’s academic programs touch many lives and while the program is meant for school age children, their parents and siblings benefit in many ways. All in all, the Center’s programs and services touch the lives of more than 500 individuals each year.
Our goal of reaching the entire family through our programming is continually realized as entire families make use of the Center’s myriad of resources and we believe that the realization of this goal is making a difference in the lives of our children and throughout our community.
Parent Services- Adult Education, English as a Second Language, Computer Literacy, Financial Literacy, Entrepreneurial Workshops, Micro-Finance for Women in Business
Parent Involvement- Raise a Reader, College Prep, Magnet Programs/Admissions, Selecting Schools, Volunteerism, Learning Challenges, Advocating for your Child, Selection of Appropriate Extracurricular Activities
Mental Health Education & Referral Services- Effective Parenting-32 hour course, Life Skills and Healthy Living Workshops, Counseling Referrals, Mental Health Fair and Health Fair, Father and Son Camp, Literature Disbursement.
